Our spun staple carbon fabrics have been adopted for demanding friction applications such as automotive torque converter clutches. The characteristics that make AvCarb® products the material of choice include:

In addition to our core technology in carbon fabrics, Ballard is active in development of cutting edge products and production techniques for friction applications (e.g. chemical vapor deposition).
